GRADING & TRANSCRIPTS

Grading Policy -  Student's progress in each course of the curriculum will be assessed by regular examinations, class attendance and participation, and practical examinations given throughout the term. The scale below will determine the grade received on any written examinations. Some of the classroom hours of Allied Modalities and the 3 classroom hours of Aids 103 will be graded in accordance with successful completion of the required number of hours.

The grading scale will be:

S = SATISFACTORY       U = UNSATISFACTORY

Progress Standards Policy - Students must pass all course of work with at least a "C" average to receive a diploma from the Center of Rehabilitative Education institute. In addition to written examinations, courses of instruction in massage and hydrotherapy also requires students to pass practical examinations designed to ascertain the student's ability to actually perform the skills associated with these forms of therapy. The student's performance on these practical examinations will also be graded.

Transcripts - Transcripts will be added to the student's permanent file upon satisfactory completion of the course. A certified transcript will be sent to the Tennessee Board of Massage for the purpose of licensure examination qualification.

Student Records - All student records are permanently on file at the school administrative office. Any students wishing to see his/her personal records may do so at any time during school office hours. Any student wishing a copy of his/her records must notify the school in writing. There is a $1 charge for each page copied. All student records are confidential.
