| Enrollment Dates - Registration
applications are accepted any time during the school year. Classes are scheduled
to begin every March, June, September, and December. Admission
Requirements
- Must
be at least 18 years of age.
- Must
have a High School Diploma or GED
- The
following items must be sent with the Application and received before
scheduling an interview.
- Submit
a copy of a high school diploma, college diploma, or GED certificate.
- Submit
a typewritten biographical essay. Include a statement on how you became
interested in the field of natural health and massage therapy.
- Submit
two (2) letters of reference from sources other than family. One should
come from a employer and/or professional associate.
- Submit
the Registration Application with a $75 registration fee.
- Submit
a letter stating past medical history of illnesses and injuries and
an updated report from your physician concerning your current physical
/ medical status (students must be free of communicable diseases and
wrist or back conditions).
The registration fee must
accompany the student's application.
Interview
After the registration application is received, an interview with the
Director of the school is required, either in person or by phone
if residence is out of town.
Credit For Previous Training
Transfer credit is awarded by Center
of Rehabilitative Education
Massage Institute according to the rules established by the Tennessee
Board of Massage:
" The Institution
must be provided with a certified transcript of the courses taken by the
student from an approved school. Courses must be parallel in content and
intensity to the course presently offered at the Institute (Center
of Rehabilitative Education Institute),
as judged by the Institute's Administrative Review Board.
In addition to the stated
policy, please be advised that there may be limitation in transferring
credits earned at the Center of Rehabilitative
Education Massage
Institute to another institution. The transfer of credits is controlled
by the receiving Institution and accreditation does not guaranteed transferability.
- Center
of Rehabilitative Education Massage Institute reserves the right to
test for competency in the transfer credit subject.
- Documentation
of previous training will be included in the student's permanent file.
